For some context:
Maul, in a canon-divergent portrayal of him, is a Sith assassin and Jabba hired him to kill a Rodian that had double-crossed the Hutt. Darth Maul found the Rodian quarreling with the girl and saved her life, telling her that she now owes him a life debt and to help him bring the Rodian back to Hutt's Palace. She obeyed (of course who the hell would have the guts to say no to Darth Maul) and pretty much hated the entire experience there.
